Congratulations to our May Mom of the Month, Kim Smith!
Kim is a shining example of sweetness, strength, and selflessness. She comes to as many classes as she can with her three sweet babes, Cooper (4), Sully (3), and Molly (9 months). She is always the first mama to offer help or encouraging words to whoever needs it and makes friends with everyone she meets. We are so thankful for her positive outlook and love having her in our Stroller Strides classes!
"Kim is the embodiment of a strong mama. She works out with enthusiasm, has encouraging words for fellow mamas, all while having three kids in tow. Kim is always the first to offer a helping hand and to introduce herself to new people. She radiates kindness and I've never seen her without a smile!" - Sarah Villareal
"Kim is one of the sweetest, most genuine moms I know! She always has a smile on her face, is a stranger to no one, and makes momming three kiddos look easy! I'm so thankful to have met her through our Fit4Mom family and have enjoyed our many work outs and play dates together." - Stephanie Adams
Tell us about you and your family.
My husband Sam and I met in college at Texas A&M and got married in 2010. Before moving to Pearland we lived in Gladstone, Australia and Port Arthur, TX. I'm a former 6th grade and preschool teacher. We are proud parents to three awesome kids-Cooper (4), Sullivan 'Sully' (3) and Molly (9 months).
How did you hear about Fit4Mom Pearland and what made you start going?
I found Fit4Mom Pearland online before we moved and took my first class before we'd finished unpacking. This group is so welcoming and the sense of community is so amazing!
What is your favorite thing about motherhood?
Getting to be a mom to these three is my greatest joy and blessing. I love seeing the pride on my kids' faces when they accomplish something new, going on outings to zoos, museums and parks and enjoying some fun in the sun on walks, bike rides and jogs.
What are some of your favorite things to do without kids?
Sans kids I like to do yoga, read, attend book club, Netflix binge and drink coffee and red wine. ️
What TV show are you currently watching or book are you reading?
Currently I'm watching The Man in the High Castle and Life in Pieces. I'm in the middle of reading The Magnolia Story and just finished The Handmaid's Tale.
What are some of your favorite Moms Night Outs and play groups?
The play date captains always do such a great job organizing fun moms night outs and play dates! Some of my favorites have been mani/pedis, dinner out on the town, Top Golf and painting parties. The little babies playtime is a great way to connect with other moms with new little ones.
What advice do you have for other moms?
Give yourself some self-care and grace, find a good support system and get outside every day!
