November Mom of the Month - Julie

Introducing our Mom of the Month, Julie Lindt!

Julie joined FIT4MOM Pearland in June 2017 and has participated in Stroller Strides, Stroller Barre, and Strides 360. She was such a rock star over the summer when attending classes throughout her pregnancy. She is a sweet friend and amazing mama to her sweet boys. We are so impressed with this lady!

“Julie is such a sweet mama! I’m so happy to have her back in class since having baby Drew. She has a welcoming smile, works hard, and is just an all-around great person. We are lucky to have her in our tribe!”- Sarah Mann

“Julie is not only an amazing mama to her sweet boys, but a wonderful friend. I love her positive outlook on motherhood and am always happy when I see her pulling into class. I will forever be grateful to Fit4mom for bringing Julie and her family into my life. She is the best!”- Sarah Buchanan

Tell us about you and your family.

My husband and I met during college and are both Texas A&M graduates. Whoop! We will be married 7 years this December and now have two little guys, Cameron 21 months, and Drew 2 months. I taught middle school ELA in Houston ISD for 5 years and am now staying home with the boys.

How did you hear about FIT4MOM Pearland and what made you start going?

My friend, Karlee, did Body Back classes and suggested checking out Stroller Strides. I really needed routine in my day when I started staying home, and I really wanted to get back into shape postpartum. I also love the built in play date for Cameron after class!

What is your favorite thing about motherhood?

All the laughs and giggles; seeing everything new from a child’s perspective is so refreshing! The smallest things make them happy!

What are some of your favorite things to do without kids?

I like to read, binge watch whole TV shows, be outside, try new places to eat with the husband, and cook when it is quiet and I don’t have to rush or multitask!

What TV show are you currently watching or book are you reading?

Just started watching New Amsterdam, and always love Grey’s Anatomy, This is Us and How to Get Away with Murder. I’m currently reading Priscilla Shirir’s Awaken and almost done reading The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society.

What are some of your favorite Moms Night Outs and play groups?

I had a lot of fun taking Cam to Kid-n-Play and Lonestar Bouncetown with friends from Fit4Mom. Those are the kind of places I would never take him by myself! I’ve missed a lot of the MNOs but had a blast at the Christmas party last year.

What advice do you have for other moms?

You never have to do the mom gig all alone! Life is great when moms lean on each other on rough days and celebrate the victories together on the best days! I’ve been so blessed by all the mom friends in my life!

And lastly, tell us something interesting that we may not know about you.

I’ve held $200,000+ in my very own hands…but it was not my very own money! ;-) I worked as a bank teller starting when I was 16 and all the way through college until I graduated and got my first teaching job!
