Introducing our Mom of the Month, Michelle Moore!
Michelle started working out with Fit4Mom in May 2015. She has participated in almost everything that we offer including Bodyback classes, Fit4baby, stroller stride and stroller barre, the GetFit challenge, and the running group. She has an amazing amount of energy and is always a positive joyful addition to any class she attends.
"Michelle is such an awesome person and bright addition to every class she attends. As a working Mom she is so busy, but finds time to get to class, work hard, sweat and sing with us! Often during the summer Michelle will do more than one class a day with us! Michelle is such a positive leader in every class she comes to". -Katie Fenn
"Michelle is such a sweet and caring mom! She always has a smile and encourages me. I can always count on her to ask how I’m doing and motivate me during the workouts! She is a mom who leads by example all the time." - Tabitha Stough
Tell us about you and your family.
I’m originally from San Antonio, graduated from Texas A&M University in 2005. I’m a Economics teacher at Dawson High School. My husband and I have been married for 6 years and have two daughters, Adeline (4yrs) and Margaret (1yr).
How did you hear about Fit4Mom Pearland and what made you start going?
I noticed them working out one day in the park near my house and searched for them online.
I was tired of trying to workout by myself. It wasn’t working. I have a competitive nature and working out with others pushes me to work harder.
What is your favorite thing about motherhood?
Seeing my girls discover something new and helping them through challenges.
What are some of your favorite things to do without kids?
Well I don’t ever have much of that time. Ha! I’m either with my kids or with my students at school. I enjoy driving in silence. Running. Or watching a show on Netflix.
What TV show are you currently watching or book are you reading?
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
What are some of your favorite Moms Night Outs and play groups?
I haven’t been able to attend those but t I love the activities after class in the summertime.
What advice do you have for other moms?
Motherhood looks different for all of us. Don’t stress about if you’re doing it right. Motherhood is hard enough without us judging ourselves based on someone else’s life. Are you happy, are your kids happy, then you’re probably doing it right for your family.
And lastly, tell us something interesting that we may not know about you.
I’m more of an introvert that an extrovert but I love experiencing new adventures.
I can barely tread water (definitely couldn’t save myself) and I’m a bit afraid of the water but I learned how to surf while in Costa Rica and I learned how to scuba dive while in Jamaica.
