December Mom of the Month - Florencia

Meet our December Mom of the Month, Florencia Carbone!

"Florencia is a blessing to have in my life. She and I are lucky enough to live close while going through this journey called motherhood for the first time. We have a blast trying to corral our lively kiddos in class and during our much-needed afternoon coffee breaks. Florencia is kindhearted and has a sense of humor that keeps me laughing. Thank you for always being there (even when you are in Argentina!)" - Christine Boldt

"Florencia brings a smile to every class! She is encouraging and welcoming to other moms. She works hard in class and stays positive always. We are so happy she is a part of our FIT4MOM family!"-Elizabeth Kelley

Tell us about your family.

My husband and I met 10 years ago. He is originally from Brazil but he was working in Buenos Aires. We have a friend in common. In 2017 we were transferred to USA and I got pregnant immediately. Becky was born in August 2018.

How did you hear about FIT4MOM, and why did you decide to join?

It was talking to a friend saying that I wanted to work out but we don’t have any family here to take care Becky. I Had to wait Renato so I can leave. I wanted to do something with her during the day. I googled it and voila! It was my best search!!!

What is your favorite thing about motherhood?

I love having someone to share the things I love like shopping, go to a restaurant.

What is your favorite holiday/winter memory?

In my country, it is summer so it is extremely hot during the holidays. We waited until midnight to celebrate Christmas. I was 6 years old and I asked Santa a bicycle. At midnight I went to the balcony to see the fireworks. Entered back in the apartment 1 minute later and the bicycle was in the middle of the living room!!!! I was soooo excited about Santa!!!

Which holiday tradition are you most excited to celebrate with your baby?

She won’t be awake until midnight so I want to see her face the next day when she sees her new stuff.

What advice would you tell a fellow Mom?

They shouldn’t stop doing what they love. It is harder when you have kids, but it is important to find the time to do it by yourself or include your kids in the plan. I love traveling and I go with Becky everywhere.

What are some of your favorite things to do without baby?

I love reading and dancing!

And lastly, tell us something interesting that we may not know about you?

I have a degree in international trade and master’s in finance and I love learning languages.
