Meet our March Mom of the Month - Chelsea Vasquez!
Chelsea is such a joy! I always get excited when I see that she’s signed up for one of my classes. She’s such a friendly gal whose positivity radiates any environment she’s in. Not to mention, she’s also super talented in crocheting and pottery making! She’s a rockstar! Keep being YOU, Chelsea!

Chelsea is the sweetest! She and I first started coming to F4M around the same time and it’s been so fun to watch our littles grow from starting at blanket babies to being wild toddlers braving the jungle gym at the park after class. I love having her and her daughter Liliana in my classes! Chelsea always comes with the biggest smile and she’s always checking in on the mamas around her! And I can’t wait to welcome her newest addition to class too with baby #2!

Tell us who makes up your family. Where are you from? What brought you to Pearland?
I have always been a Texas gal! I grew up in Alvin, but relocated to the Magnolia/Woodlands area for a few years where I attended SHSU and got my first teaching job. We made the decision to move back to the Pearland area in 2019 to be closer to family. My crew includes myself, my husband Issac (also my high school sweetheart), my girl Liliana (2 years, 4 months), 2 goofy mutts, and a still developing baby boy due to arrive in early June!
What is your proudest mommy moment?
Honestly seeing my daughter grow up every day makes me so insanely proud to be her mother. She can be so caring and considerate and her laugh is the sound of purest joy.
What are a few of your favorite things?
I have always been one to have lots of hobbies. Two of my longest hobbies I have kept are reading and crocheting. I also enjoy bike rides (on flat surfaces), hiking (on not flat surfaces), and yoga (no preference of surfaces here). Oh and I do pottery. I have a small Etsy business called Lily by the Sea, which is a play on my daughter and my names in which I sell my handmade goods, because I make way too many things to keep it all in my house!
What surprised you most about motherhood? What advice would you give a new mom?
I think the lack of sleep and hormone changes hit me like a truck with my first kiddo. I never had to realistically function on only a couple hours of sleep at a time, and that was a rough wake up call. I would say that accepting help from those you love and trust can make the biggest difference. My husband stepped up and helped all of those sleepless nights, even when he was working. Both my mom and mom-in-law made weekly trips to my house to hold the baby or just do my laundry or cook dinner. If you don't have family close by, I would say find your village, and Fit4Mom Pearland is a great place to start!
What do you love about FIT4MOM? What would you say to a new mom who is thinking about coming to class?
I love that it is a judgement free zone full of moms that are all honestly just trying their best. It's not like other workout groups where you have to suck it up and push yourself beyond what you may feel comfortable doing. I have always felt encouraged by all of the instructors here at Fit4Mom, whether its a shout out in class or just a positive comment said in passing. Everyone is so supportive and understanding no matter where you are in your motherhood or fitness journey, which all moms deserve to experience in their day to day!
