Meet our March Mom of the Month & Instructor Spotlight, Tabitha Stough
How did you hear about Fit4Mom?
I saw moms at the park when I would go walk during my maternity leave to get some fresh air! After seeing them a second time, someone came and told me about the group!
How did you become a Fit4Mom instructor?
I actually don’t know I had been attending classes for a while and loving fitness while also being a full time teacher- it made it easy to transition into the role!
Tell us who makes up your family. Where are you from? What brought you to Pearland?
My husband and I have 3 sweet and wild kids, Connor (9), Camden (7), and Kaylana (4). We are from a small town in Pennsylvania. We moved to Houston in 2013 to pursue my first teaching job after I graduated college for a change of scenery and to start our next chapter. We moved to Pearland in 2016 right before having Connor and we are happy to call it home!
What is your proudest mommy moment?
This is a really hard question. I can’t narrow it down to one particular moment but watching my kids work so hard every day to be the best versions of themselves makes me proud! My kids are super crazy at times, but they truly are the most caring, kind, and hard working little humans- this reminds me I must be doing something right!
What are a few of your favorite things?
My favorite things are Fit4mom classes (obviously 🤣), running, spending time outside with my 3 kids, teaching my 4th graders, and chocolate!
What surprised you most about motherhood? What advice would you give a new mom?
What surprised me the most about motherhood is that you can totally have no idea what you’re doing, and yet somehow, everything is just fine. The advice I would give a new mom: Don't forget to take care of yourself. To be the best mom you can be, you have to take care of your needs in order to take care of your babies needs!
What do you love about FIT4MOM? What would you say to a new mom who is thinking about coming to class?
I love the community! Everyone is so kind and fun to be around. When they say it takes a village, it really does- and I’m so thankful to have the village I have, thanks to Fit4mom!
