Meet our November Mom of the Month, Ravonda Sanders!
"Ravonda and I started Fit4Mom roughly at the same time. She was one of the first Mommas I spoke to. She’s always been super friendly and so easy to talk to. She has a contagious smile and is a joy to workout with. We tend to find motivation in each other to persevere through all the breathless lunges, squat and hikes…lol! I especially love the way she dresses her little one. Ravonda definitely is a stylist at heart. I am so happy she joined."- Nicolette Nino
"I always love when Ravonda and Journee show up for class! Such a sweet and caring mama and friendly to everyone she meets. And Ravonda works hard at classes too! We are so happy to have her in our FIT4MOM family." - Elizabeth Kelley
When did you join Fit4Mom? Which class do you attend? Which class is your favorite and why?
I joined first of June and I started with stroller strides. My favorite class is stroller barre b/c I think it's a great balance of strength and cardio.
Tell us about your family.
I have been married to my husband, Justin for 3 years. He's a football coach at Texas Southern, and originally from Mississippi. I'm from North Carolina which is where we met back in 2013. We have an 8th month old girl named Journee who is our miracle baby.
How did you hear about Fit4Mom, and why did you decide to join?
From one of my best friends in Raleigh, NC who is a part of Fit4Mom,
What is your favorite thing about motherhood?
The love. It's true that you feel a type of love that you've never experienced before, and it's amazing.
What are your family’s favorite Thanksgiving traditions?
We started a new tradition of going to the beach for Thanksgiving, and it's been nice to eat dinner with a view!
So far, what has been your favorite milestone to watch?
It's been fun to watch Journee eat more and more solid foods lately. Her disgust for avocado is pretty hilarious.
What is your favorite advice to share with new mommas?
Ask for help!
What is your favorite place to go with baby?
We love our Target runs.
And lastly, tell us something interesting that we may not know about you.
Before I moved here, I used to teach a weekly fitness class.
