September Mom of the Month - Victoria

Meet our September Mom of the Month, Victoria Nicholas!

“And still she persisted.” That’s what comes to mind when I see Victoria in class with my little friend James.

She never quits and she pushes herself to get the most out of her workouts. Brimming with positivity and humor, Victoria is always a light. Thank you for your shine Mama!

I haven’t known Victoria for very long but oh man am I glad I got the chance to meet her! Every conversation I have with her is a great one! She’s super sweet and down to earth, and I love seeing her connect with the other moms around her. She works hard in every class she attends and she always brings such a great positive energy! Way to go, Victoria!

Tell us who makes up your family. Where are you from? What brought you to Pearland?

I was born and raised in Houston! I lived in Louisiana for 6 years (where I met my husband) then we moved back home and to Pearland after getting a job at M.D. Anderson in the med center. My husband Derek and I have two sweet boys: Myles (5) and James (1)

What is your proudest mommy moment?

Just everyday working to raise two really kind, thoughtful, empathetic young men.

What are a few of your favorite things?

I love being outside (hiking, fishing), reading, Bluebell Ice Cream and wine with friends!

What surprised you most about motherhood? What advice would you give a new mom?

All the mixed emotions of having your heart living outside of your body. It’s so important to give yourself grace and be kind to yourself as you navigate the joys and anxieties that go along with motherhood. Find a group of mom friends who you can talk to about it ALL.

What do you love about FIT4MOM? What would you say to a new mom who is thinking about coming to class?

Everyone has been so welcoming at Fit4mom. Whether you are running late, your kids having a meltdown, you need to breastfeed mid class etc., Fit4Mom provides a safe space for everyone to participate, no judgement. It’s a great way to get outside, prioritize yourself, and connect with other moms who get it!!
