I joined spring break of 2019 for a free week for teachers.

Which class do you attend?

I attend Stroller Strides and Body Back mostly.

Which class is your favorite and why?

I love Stroller Strides because of the flexibility in workout, the change of scenery, and playtime afterward with my kids! I also really love Body Back and Stroller Barre.

Tell us about your family.

I am a Kindergarten teacher in Alvin ISD. I live in Rosharon with my husband Billy of 7 years, my two boys Barrett 3.5, and Beckham 19 months, and our two yellow labs Deke and Huck.

How did you hear about FIT4MOM, and why did you decide to join?

I heard about FIT4MOM from a friend and decided I needed to have a hobby of my own that was going to help me get healthy physically and mentally.

What is your favorite thing about motherhood?

Watching my children grow and develop language and communicate, endless snuggles and playtime!

What has been your favorite quarantine game or event to do with kiddos?

Walking 3 times a day with the boys in the stroller, water balloons, and of course Virtual FIT4MOM classes!

So far, what has been your favorite milestone to watch?

My favorite milestone is when my kids start comprehending and speaking words and know they have meaning. Once they get it, they say it all the time! This is the stage our youngest is in right now.

What is your favorite advice to share with new mommas?

Don’t be afraid to ask for help when you need it, and make sure you do something for YOU! Whether it’s reading a book, taking a bath, having a glass of wine by yourself or joining a community group, like FIT4MOM!

What is the first thing you and your family will do after the quarantine is lifted?

Go hug my family! I miss my mom, dad, sisters, nephew and in-laws!

And lastly, tell us something interesting that we may not know about you.

I can sing, play piano, and a little guitar. I have sung in some kind of group or band most of my adolescent and adult life until I had kids. I miss it!
